Block Exemption

The block exemption regulation was brought in to allow customers to have their vehicles repaired without invalidating their warranties. By adhering to these specific standards, owners of vehicles still under manufacturer warranty can rest assured that their full warranty rights are not affected. This is in line with the European Union Block Exemption Regulations of 2002.

As stated in the Right to Repair Campaign “The Block Exemption Regulation includes elements that give the consumer the freedom to choose where they have their vehicle maintained without negating manufacturers’ warranties, as long as original parts or parts of matching quality have been fitted by the repairer. To enable repairs to be made, the vehicle manufacturer under the Block Exemption Regulation should make technical information freely available to the independent market.”

So what does this mean to you the customer?

By Vantech servicing your vehicle during its warranty period, this will in no way affect your manufacturers warranty.
